Women's activist charity meet up at Kingsley café

A global charity is hosting a local gathering at Heathers café in Northampton's Kingsley Park Terrace

Soroptimist International (SI) are hosting one of their several monthly 'Orange Café' get-togethers across the country at Kingsley's iconic café, Heathers.


SI are a worldwide charity that seeks to improve the lives of women as well as bringing them together, from a local scale to across the world.


The 'Orange the World campaign,launched by United Nations Women (UNWomen), aims to tackle on violence against women internationally, which is why SI have joined their cause.

Heather Korbey, owner of the café, raises money for various causes and is hopeful for the meeting to make SI known in Northampton as well as: "getting organised and getting some actual action done."


There will be a bra bank to donate to go towards women in need, as well as open donations towards cancer research.

Heather welcomes all of those interested to come along for some tea and cake at her coffee shop from 4pm to 6pm, April 25 at 86 Kingsley Park Terrace, Northampton, GB NN2 7HJ.
