Kingsley charity event to help the vulnerable in RAF community

Kingsley’s Working Men’s Club is hosting the Big Royal Air Forces Association (RAFA) Charity Night in support of the RAFA charity this April.

Kingsley Park Working Men's Club

The RAFA is one of the oldest military charities in the UK and supports the Royal Air Force community of one million people including serving personnel, veterans and their families.

Every year the organisation helps more than 80,000 people to overcome difficulties such as physical and mental wellbeing issues and financial struggles.

With the current cost of living crisis taking its toll on vulnerable households, the RAFA is currently focusing support on helping those who are currently battling cold, hunger and loneliness.

The Royal Air Force-themed event is set to take place on April 1 starting at 19:30 till 23:00 (doors open at 19:00) where guests can expect music from the 1940’s to the present day, a charity raffle, and a traditional “bangers and mash” dinner.

Attendees are also encouraged to wear RAF Period dress to fit with the evening's theme.

Tickets range from £4 for under-16’s to £8 for adults. Bookings can be made by calling Clint on 07949401813, or tickets can be bought on the night.
